Cadet Taylor completed the full marathon as part of the Charleston Riverfront Race Festival on Saturday, 15 January 2011. The festival included a full marathon, half marathon, 10k, 5k, and kids' run, and brought in thousands of racers from the lowcountry and nationwide. The directors did a good job with logistics and coordination, and everyone that came to cheer was greatly appreciated; especially the hundreds of college girls camping outside for the Grand Opening of Forever 21.

The Charleston weather cleared up just in time for Cadets Buhler and Taylor to run the 33rd Annual Cooper River Bridge Run last Saturday, April 2nd. The event continues to successfully reach 40,000+ participants...numerous of which are walkers whom believe jumping to the runner waves will help their time.
Cadets Buhler, Crescenti, LaFlamme, Samayoa, and Taylor competed in the TrySports Sprint Triathlon in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, April 9th. Everyone did extremely well including top times from Taylor and Crescenti. A photo has been added to the Photos page.

Membership dues are $20/training member and $60/competition member.
Our first race we are competing in is the Tugaloo Olympic Triathlon, a SECTC Collegiate race. There is still budgeted space for 1 or 2 more members, however it is past the initial registration deadline, so a $15-$25 copay will be required to race for competition members. Training members are welcome to race at their own expense.
Cadets Aguero, Parker, and Taylor raced in the Tugaloo Collegiate Olympic Distance Triathlon in Lavonia, Georgia, this past Saturday. Lavonia boasted some fine eating establishments such as Pizza Hut and La Cabana Restaurante Mexicana.
Cadet Kyle Taylor completed the Great Floridian Full Ironman this past weekend in Clermont, FL. The Great Floridian is one of the oldest ironman races in America (21 years running), and boasts being "tougher than iron" for its extremely hilly bike course. The race website can be found here.
Team workouts have begun, and a brief schedule can be seen in the announcements block to the right of the page.
Congrats to Cadet Enio Aguero for completing the Rohto Ironman 70.3 in Miami, FL on October 30, 2011. Miami is part of the official 70.3 Ironman series that extends around the world. This was only Aguero's second triathlon ever as well. Congrats!
Our last meeting of the semester will be this Thursday, 12-8-11 at 6:30 in Deas Hall. Hope everyone has a great Christmas break, and see you next year!
We're soon kicking off the new semester, remember to pay club dues, recommend classmates to join, and check the updated calender page for our schedule of potential races.
